The Hellenic Parliament

In Greek : Βουλή των Ελλήνων (correct me if I am wrong !)
Recently I was in one of the most important and amazing cities in Europe : Athens.
It was a blast ! Culture, food, people... Everything (and everyone) was great !

So I will upload some stuff about this trip.

This building was not the first to accomodate the assembly.
At the beginning, it was used as a palace for the King Otto I after the uprising of 1843...
At that time the Parliament was located on Stadiou Street.

The palace and its 365 rooms was supposed to be heavily decorated... But the King's father Ludwig of Bavaria ran out of money
and the building kept his Neoclassical and austere aspect that made it look like barracks according to the German architect...

In 1909, the palace had to be renovated after a great fire damaged it.
It is only in 1934-35 that the building first housed the Greek parliamentary institutions.
They have remained here ever since.
